The video intertwines five different stories together. The first is of a girl who supposedly drowned her lover in a pool; the second involves an elderly Central American man who is journeying away from his home; the third involves a man whose home is invaded by armed robbers who kill the man's father; the fourth involves Zedd playing a liquor store robber who becomes hostile with the management; and the fifth depicts a distraught girl preparing to commit suicide on railroad. As the song progresses, the video intercuts to scenes of family happiness, dancing and rejoicing before concluding the five stories. The first girl's lover is pulled from the water before drowning, and the ex realizes the gravity of the situation; the old man attempts to climb a mountain but falls, before completing the summit; the armed robbery victim confronts the hostiles at gunpoint but chooses to bring them to justice; Zedd's character reflects over what sunk him to his current point in life and decides to change his ways; the suicidal girl is miraculously missed by the train and considers it a sign to live a better life (JeffGluck.com, 2015).

Overall the song is about togetherness between a person and another. Lyrically, this togetherness might be related to relationships. Each verse of this song can explain it very well.
