This is the thirteenth track on the album "Made in the A.M." by One Direction. Overall this song tells us about friendship. I think this song is written for their ex-bandmate, Zayn Malik. This supported by the music video that uploaded on Youtube, on January 26, 2016 (you can check this out on the below). The music video shows some video clip of Zayn Malik when he was on this group. One interesting thing is the twelve track on this album is 'I want to Write You a Song' indirectly related to 'History'. I say that because Harry says on the first verse, "I want to write you a song, with just a hint of pain, for the feeling that I get when you are gone, I want to write you a song." I think from this we can make a conclusion that the twelve track related to the thirteenth track on this album.

Ok, first I want to review on the second verse, Niall says about 'something' that don't teach at school. This something is belong to friendship. He also says that his heart has breaking and he don't know what to do. I think all of us must feel the same with him. One interesting thing is some lyrics at the last of the three verses said about "thought we were going strong, thought we were holding on, Aren't we?" Once again, it's totally about friendship. On the chorus, they told that their friendship got a lot of history and with 'these' they could be the greatest team that the world has ever seen. And they want 'these' keeping on his (Zayn Malik) mind, so they can make some more and they can live forever.

Liam also says that although there are the rumors and the fights, they can find a way and make it out alive. I think the core of this song is on Louis's statement that said "mini bars, expensive cars, hotel rooms, new tattoos, the good champagne, and private planes, but they don't mean anything 'cause the truth is out, I realize that without you here life is just a lie." Yes, of course. Friendship is priceless than anything. So, if you have a friendship, you must keep it forever, because if you don't, it will be 'history'.
